DAIRY FARM · ÁNANDA NAGAR
Caring for animals. Nourishing a living community.
Ánanda Nagar’s dairy farm brings cattle care, fresh milk, rural skill and soil fertility into one grounded cycle of local self-reliance.

WHY THE FARM MATTERS
A small working farm with value far beyond the cowshed.
The dairy farm contributes fresh milk to the Ánanda Nagar community and gives daily attention to the animals that make that possible. Its work connects nutrition, responsible husbandry and the steady rhythms of rural life.
At a service community working toward self-reliance, dairy is not a standalone activity. Feed, animal health, milk, manure and fields belong to the same living system.
Good dairy farming begins with attentive animal care.
THE DAILY FARM CYCLE
Care, feed, milk and return to the land.
01
Care
Daily observation, calm handling, clean shelter and close attention to cows and calves.
02
Feed
Fodder preparation, water and seasonal feeding keep the herd nourished and resilient.
03
Milk
Careful hand milking and hygienic handling turn daily work into wholesome nourishment.
04
Return
Manure goes back to the land, supporting soil fertility and a more circular farm system.
INTEGRATED RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Milk is only one part of the harvest.
Milk is the most visible output, but the farm also develops practical skill, supports local nutrition and produces organic matter for cultivation.
By keeping these functions close to the community, Ánanda Nagar reduces waste and strengthens the connection between animal care, food and the health of the soil.
Animal care, nutrition and soil health belong to the same cycle.
AN INTEGRATED APPROACH
EVERYDAY ANIMAL CARE
The work is close, practical and constant.
Farm workers monitor calves and cows at close range, milk by hand and keep shelters functioning through daily cleaning and feeding.
The photographs show the human scale of the dairy: calm handling, simple equipment and direct responsibility for each animal.

FODDER, SOIL & SELF-RELIANCE
Each part of the farm supports another.
Cut fodder and locally available feed sustain the cattle. The herd provides milk for nourishment and manure for cultivation, returning organic matter to the land.
This circular relationship strengthens both food security and responsible resource use across the wider Ánanda Nagar community.
A FARM WITH MANY RETURNS
Care for cattle becomes nourishment, skill and healthier soil.
NUTRITION
Fresh milk supporting the everyday nourishment of the community.
RURAL SKILL
Practical knowledge built through feeding, milking and animal husbandry.
SOIL FERTILITY
Organic manure returning nutrients to fields and closing the farm cycle.
